Sedan

The 2020 Jaguar XF is larger than the XE, and the Jaguar XJ supercar is the largest of all. However, for frequent travelers, the midsize XF actually has the most cargo space-at least in Sportbrake form.

The XF Sportbrake offers a grand total of 31.7 cubic feet of cargo space behind the rear seats. Fold down those seats, and you'll have nearly 70 cubic feet to work with. Meanwhile, the XE Sedan offers 14.5 cubic feet; the XF Sedan, 19.1 cubic feet; and the XJ Sedan, 15.2 cubic feet.

Drivers who have adventurous lifestyles will find lots of value in the Jaguar XF Sportbrake. The outstanding cargo space available is perfect for a pair of bikes and even some camping gear. We'll review some more XF Sportbrake features that cater to adventures later in this Jaguar car comparison.

Jaguar Cars Interior

For 2020, the Jaguar XE uses a gearshift in place of the previous rotary shifter. Meanwhile, transmissions in the Jaguar XF and the XJ use the beautifully designed JaguarDrive Selector™. It sits flush with the center console when the car is turned off and rises into your hand when you press the Start/Stop button.

Style goes far beyond a snazzy rotary shifter, though. All three Jaguar cars have standard leather as well as dual zone automatic climate control. Even in the sweltering summer sun of southern Louisiana, you and your front passenger can ride comfortably with custom-set cabin temperatures.

The Jaguar XJ stands out for its luxurious cabin complete with standard leather upholstery and rich wood accents. Massaging front and rear seats are also available. The Jaguar XE, meanwhile, offers roomy front-row seating for its small size.

Jaguar Cars Performance

From the small car to the supercar, each Jaguar luxury car occupies its own performance niche. All three cars are powered by Ingenium engines with all-aluminum construction that are fine-tuned for performance and efficiency.

The small Jaguar XE and the midsize Jaguar XF excel at fuel economy. With their base engines equipped, you can see up to an EPA-estimated 25 city/34 highway MPG.1 You'll find yourself stopping less often for fuel while enjoying a vigorous performance.

When it comes to pure power, though, the 2020 Jaguar XJ is king of the jungle. This supercar achieves an outstanding 575 horsepower via its available 5.0-liter supercharged V8 engine. Gun it from 0 to 60 MPH in as little as 4.2 seconds with this powerhouse equipped!

Jaguar Cars Technology

The Jaguar XE, the Jaguar XF, and the Jaguar XJ share much of the same technology. You can stay connected with the standard InControl® infotainment system in all three cars. The sleek 10-inch Touchscreen found in all three cars is responsive and easy to use-and it features crisp, colorful graphics, too.

Need to access the internet? A 4G LTE Wi-Fi® hotspot lets your passengers connect their favorite devices during the drive. Integrated navigation offers easy-to-follow directions to your destination. These features are available in the XE and the XF and standard in the XJ.

Meridian™ Audio systems offer a premium listening experience in these cars. Enjoy concert-quality sound with up to 17 speakers in the Jaguar XE and the XF and 26 speakers in the Jaguar XJ!

XE vs XF vs XJ: Advanced Safety

As you might expect from three Jaguar cars, the XE, the XF, and the XJ offer similar driver-assistive features. The latest InControl® technologies will help you respond to trouble spots on the road. You may even be able to avoid collisions and better manage your driving with these available features:

  • Blind Spot Assist
  • Driver Condition Monitor
  • Emergency Braking
  • Lane Keep Assist

These features can play a major role in your day-to-day driving. Be forewarned of any cars in your blind spots before you change lanes-and receive an alert if you start to drift from yours. Emergency Braking comes in handy if a front-end collision is predicted. It can help slow your Jaguar to mitigate an accident.

If you've been driving all day, you may start to feel tired. Even if you don't notice it, the Driver Condition Monitor can detect signs of drowsy or distracted driving. It will alert you to pull over so you can rest-and maybe let one of your passengers take over driving duties.

One feature you'll find only on the XF Sportbrake is the available Activity Key. This waterproof wristband works like a key fob you can't misplace. Use it while swimming, skydiving, and so much more!
